9/14/2016 - Lawn Signs
We are starting to receive reports of political signs being stolen from lawns of residences. If someone places a lawn sign supporting a candidate, it's your right to disagree, however if you take that sign you are breaking the law, it's theft and you will be charged if you are caught.
This applies to signs supporting local, state and federal elections.
We are better than this in our township, we pride ourselves on being a tight knit community, we don't have to agree on everything, including who we support in elections but we are still a community who supports each other and will continue to do so long after the elections are history.
Let's respect each other's rights to support whoever we desire, stealing a sign is taking away that precious right and it is a crime.
If you have a sign stolen or witness a theft, call Police immediately at 609-397-1100.
